"Lily of the Mohawks" - St Kateri Tekawitha - Rhyolite, Wood and Bronze Handmade Rosary

$275.00

This rosary is inspired by St. Kateri Tekakwitha, known as the Flower of the Algonquins and Lily of the Mohawks.

The elegantly crucifix is adorned with stylized lilies. St. Kateri’s image on the rosary center is framed within the petals of a flower. Both of these pieces are hand-cast in solid bronze.

The colors and materials of the beads suggest St. Kateri's homeplace, the woods of upstate New York.

A gathering of five hand-carved wooden beads forms each Pater. Around the Paters are beads of solid brass.

The stone Ave beads are woodsy green rhyolite; each unique in size and shape.

Among these are beads of matte glass in a variety of subtle colors. The connecting rings are solid bronze.
