This chaplet is inspired by the symbol of the Holy Spirit as wind: “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

The cross arises from a winged heart — a lovely old Latin American motif — and two small medals representing the Holy Spirit are suspended from the arms of the cross. All are solid bronze, hand-cast from 19c pieces.

The stone leaf is rhyolite. The movement of this leaf, and the movement of the dangles on the cross, remind us of the movement of the wind — and the Spirit.

The Pater and the Aves are natural onyx, separated by individually handmade beads of brass.

The connecting rings and the wire-wrap are solid bronze. At each end of the strand are beads of solid brass. The chaplet is strung on premium quality SoftFlex jewelers’ cable, composed of 49 strands of steel encased in nylon, with a test strength of 26 pounds. Each end is double-crimped for security.
