The cross of this chaplet is cast from an ancient original piece, in solid bronze. A cross of the same interesting design can be seen today in the emblem of Patriarch Catholicos Karekin II, the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The large green prayer beads are stone — we think the stone is nephrite — in a shape that feels good in the hand. Among these are beads of solid brass. Green is the liturgical color associated with freshness — renewal, growth, life, and hope.
