Bloodstone Variation iii
50-Bead Prayer Rope Rosary
Bethlehem Olivewood and Bronze

Fishers, bloodstone variation, 50 bead prayer rope rosary, by Still Stone and Moss, Prayer Bead Art, pv

"...And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

-- Matthew 4:19

The 50 beads of this prayer rope are separated into decades, so it can easily be used to count rosary prayers.  It's large enough to fit over an average-size person's head, and so can be worn as a necklace.

The fish pendant is solid, substantial, hand-cast bronze. To us, it appears to wear a smile. The fish is a familiar and ancient symbol of Christianity, in use in the first century AD: the letters of the Greek word for fish were understood to stand for the initial letters of each word of the sentence, "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior."

The prayer beads are carved in Israel, of wood pruned from the ancient olive trees in Bethlehem.  The variety and depth of their color and grain is a mark of their quality. No trees were harmed in the harvesting of this wood -- pruning the trees is essential to their health and continued fruitfulness.

The 50 olivewood beads are separated by beads of bloodstone.

The prayer rope is strung on premium quality Soft Flex jewelers' cable composed of 49 strands of steel encased in nylon, with a test strength of 26 pounds; each end is double-crimped for security. The connecting rings are all solid bronze.

Fish Pendant: 2"
Prayer Beads: 8mm
Length: 14.5" from the top of the loop to the mouth of the fish.
