"There is not, never has been,
and never will be a single human being
for whom Christ did not suffer."

--  Catechism of the Catholic Church, 605

We had the Lenten journey in mind when we made this rosary.

The bronzy Paters are flecked with verdigris.  They're set among chips of mottled old-golds and berry-purples...

The Aves are lavastone, with natural pits and pocks formed as the molten stone cooled.  Among these are beads of strong purples, blues and sage greens...

The openwork Coptic cross is hand-cast from a 19th century Ethiopian antique...

Going Overboard
Old Brass and Glass
Handmade Rosary

"Overboard on the instant went Simon Peter...
Overboard into the water this impulsive creature flung himself -- "

Jesus must have laughed -- with pleasure and affection.  For the full story, see John 21:6.

The rustic, handmade African brass spheres we've used for the Paters of this rosary are symbolic of Peter's fishing net -- suddenly so super-abundantly full that "now they were not able to draw it, for the multitude of fishes."

Aves of matte Czech glass in warm amber tones... Coptic crucifix and rosary center, both of solid bronze...
